What's Your Porosity?
Use this test above to determine your hair porosity.
Low Porosity: the structure of your hair does not easily allow moisture to be absorbed into your hair shaft.
Normal Porosity: The cuticles aren't too close together, but aren't too open either. This allows moisture to penetrate easily, and also makes it easier to retain moisture for longer periods of time.
High Porosity: Water, oils, and other types of products can be easily absorbed by your hair. On the flip side, because your hair is highly porous, it may not be able to retain the moisture as well as other types of hair.
